Lost and its Golden Globe

rena_librarianI forgot to mention this before, and I feel stupid, lol.
When the Golden Globes were on, there really wasn't much ELSE on, and after some pointless channel-surfing, Mom turned it on just to "see what was going on." The first thing out of my mouth was, "Hey! That's JJ! And Damon! Well, actually, it's the other way around--hey! That's Naveen!"
So in other words, in an act of incredible timing, we turned it on just in time to see Lost win its Golden Globe. ^_^ Yay! Did it win anything else? Best Actor or what-not? Obviously I only saw the tail end of the show, and not even all of that.
What kind of bugs me is that JJ Abrams and Damon Lindelof are almost as easily recognizable to me as any of the actors. XD
I have a feeling that Sawyer and Kate are going to get together. I don't see it working out in the long-term, but the show is gonna go there, even if Sawyer DOESN'T remember saying he loves Kate. And though I still want Jack and Kate to get together, and I fully intend to jump off a cliff if Jack and Ana Lucia hook up, Sawyer/Kate isn't bothering me AS MUCH now that Sawyer seems to be coming at it from an "I love her" angle rather than "she's one hot mama." When he said, "If you've touched one hair on her head..." Rawr. I do believe that I would be touched if he said that about me.
Shelly was right. Sawyer's haircut is good. ^_^ Maybe on Kate's next flashback we learn that she was in beauty school under an assumed name before the cops caught up with her.
The flashback was laid out rather poorly, methinks. Too much time with the other woman and not enough with the wife--which I guess was kind of the point, but still didn't feel right to me. And we STILL don't know (for sure) if she died or if they divorced! Though now I'd be willing to lay odds that they divorced--against Jack's will, obviously.
That's why he's having committment issues with Kate--he's afraid that she'll leave him. Does anyone else get the feeling that as far as she's concerned, the ball is in his court? Like, if he would just suck it up and TELL her that he cares about her, she'd get together with him?
What was the point of the negative pregnancy test? Why did his wife make an issue of it, and would things have come out differently if it had been positive?
I think I'm developing a crush on flashback-Jack. I don't like him with his half-grown facial hair, on the island--like I was telling Mom, you'd think the resident doctor would be more worried about being clean! All his clothes are filthy! They may just be permanently-stained-but-sanitary-from-washing, but they still make him look dirty! But anyway, if you clean him up and stick him in a suit (and/or grow his hair out!)--DANG. He was in TV Guide last week, and in those photos, where it's clear that he actually showers on a regular basis--WOW. He's hot!
BTW, on the second watching, I tried to count the gunshots just for curiosity's sake, and I heard eight, not seven. I may have miscounted, but it would make sense if the shots were one of The Numbers.
Just how many Others ARE there? Dude. This was a survivor/Other encounter where there was no Ethan-like spy and no casualties. The Others seem to be nutters (heh, that rhymed), but at least now they're negotiating before killing. This is progress!
And to quote the dearly departed Arzt--"If you want to keep something secret, don't tell the fat guy." XD Hurley shows no hesitation in answering questions, does he? It's like the guy is on a steady feed of truth serum.
The Sun/Jin moments were kawaii--I liked his hat. And I can't blame her at all for not letting him go after them, but if I were him, my suggestion would have been, "If you're that worried, you come too." He could be of more use to the group with a translator anyway.
Sayid's comment about the music being depressing cracked me up, Hurley asking about Libby cracked me up (and he should totally go for it!), and Charlie asking about Claire cracked me up. I do believe that was the best scene in the show.
Would Ana's training as a COP be enough to turn around and train an ARMY? As good as it is to hear Jack going on the defensive, I don't know how well that's going to work.
Where are Rose and Bernard? I don't remember who it was, but someone in a comment on GamgeeFest's journal suggested that THEY should have a backstory episode. I, for one, think it's a great idea.
Next week--Locke gets involved with Charlie and his drugs again. This bodes well, considering how he helped last time. (Maybe, unlike GamgeeFest and me, Locke knows how to dispose of the heroin irretrievably without harming the environment.) Now, was there anything else on the trailer? XD Seriously, though--does this mean Charlie gets another flashback? GOD, I hope so! It's been WAY too long--he has yet to have a flashback this season!!
OMG, that's right--AARON! They CAN'T HURT AARON! I will walk to Hawaii and settle things myself if they do!
My episode outline for next week, based on the trailer: Charlie gets info that the Others are after Aaron, and tries to warn Claire, but she continues in this childish streak and refuses to listen to him--if she hears him at all she refuses to believe him. Locke asks Charlie if he's using, and he won't be. Charlie turns out to be right about Aaron when Aaron disappears. Charlie rescues Aaron again, killing at least one Other in the process, and when he brings Aaron to Claire, Claire gives him a chick-flick-worthy apology (for not listening to Charlie and throwing him out) that ends with a real mouth-to-mouth kiss.
I know I'm likely about 90% wrong on that, but that's what would happen if I was writing it. ^_^**
