News junkies: yes, major ice storms, blah blah blah, downed power lines, etc etc. I'm fine. Everyone here is fine.

Monday I went to class with Cody, we both heard about the bad weather, so we grabbed lunch on campus, got in the car, and zoomed home. We went through some freezing rain around Henderson, but the roads were okay. Started coming down hard after we got in, and we STAYED in.

I had power until about 9:30-10 Tuesday night. Cody and I still stayed in. When I turned my phone on in the morning (turned off to conserve battery since I couldn't charge it), Nico had called and offered to come get us. We packed up the perishable groceries and refugee-d at his place, since he had power. He was also hosting April and her three kids, so it was a bit crowded, but yay for warmth and showers.

I got power yesterday around noon, if my clock is to be believed. No internet as of 4 PM, but Suddenlink said it would be on "sometime late this afternoon." I haven't been home to check but hopefully it'll be there when I get there. =) (I'm at Nico's now, internetting.)

No telling when I'll get to the flist, but probably once I have internet at home, as I see a week's worth of entries taking me a good two-three hours to browse. =P

...yeah, I'm about 200 entries back. Sigh.

Just thought I'd drop you a quick note. I'm glad everything is fine over there. My folks are still without power. A line went down on the road to the camp. Anyway, when you get around to watching Lost, call, e-mail, text, whatever, just let me know what you think.

Talk to ya later.

I was actually chatting with your mom on Facebook about that, and saw Kim's pictures. (I love the world we live in.) She didn't say how much longer they'd have no power. How did you and Josh fare?

I'll probably let you know the next day, as it will probably be in the 2/3/4 am range when I watch it. Lol.

We only lost power for about 10 hours on Tuesday. But some of our apartment complex was still without power last night. We finally got our internet and cable back Friday and Josh only missed work on Tuesday. He was sick, so he hadn't planned to go in anyway.

Doesn't sound too terrible, then. Good deal. =)

This whole ice storm thing sucked. At least you could shower. We had heat from the fireplace, but no water at all. We finally have water, but we're still under a boil order. Thank God I got my tv and net back today. I am not cut out for the Amish lifestyle!

Gahh, no water. =O

And, no--fascinating creatures that novels paint them to be, I could never be Amish, either. =)
