happy fortune to you

So yesterday me, Nico, and Kristy went to the Ozark Choral Society Christmas concert, then met up with April for Chinese. (Um...yeah...tofu is still nasty, but I can find enough food in a Chinese restaurant to eat now... O_o Go figure.) Long story short, a good time was had by all.

Then we got our fortune cookies. April opened hers first and was all, "Well, damn, it's basically telling me that I'm going to have a big fat ass." And we all looked at her funny and she read it: "Very soon you will be sitting on the top of the world!"

Then I looked at mine, and was all, "Well, go figure that I'd get this when I'm here with three people--'There is a great friendship between you two!'"

Kristy opened hers and it said "You and your wife will have a very happy future together." Yes. Wife. Gender-specific. *headdesk*

And just when we were thinking that the fortune-cookie writers were full of epic fail, Nico read his: "Today's philosophy will be the future's common sense." Which is nice and thought-provoking and all that.

But still...what the heck? Lol.
