Also found out that Nico has incredible taste in music as well as books. Borrowed one CD to burn and he was all, "If you like that take this one, too!"

See, when we were driving over the dam he was playing DJ Sammy, and he was skipping to a certain track and I was all, "Wait, wait, go back!"

It was "Heaven" by DJ Sammy...

...Which is on DDR. I nearly died. (I didn't recognize the artist's name but I sure as heck recognized the SONG!)

The other CD is club remixes of 80's songs. That same song is on there, (didn't realize "Heaven" was an 80's song but whatever..."Baby, you're all that I want/when I'm lying here in your arms/I'm finding it hard to believe/we're in Heaven...") as well as mixes of three other songs that I'm familiar with. I've listened to all but the last three songs and I'm burning that CD, too, lol. The remixes of "(I Just) Died In Your Arms" and "Tainted Love" were amazing, and I'm curious about "Total Eclipse of the Heart" too. ^_^

When I give them back and he realizes that he can trust me with CD's, I'm totally raiding his collection, lol. ^_-

Dear Everyone:

I have a favor to ask of you. Nobody get upset, please, even if you know you're one of the ones who did this, you're not the ONLY one and I don't mean it personally, and I'm not mad, it's just that since it's happened more than once, it's driving me crazy. (And nobody say "Short trip!" either.)

Recently I've gotten several emails asking me to join various online communities. Now, I don't mean messageboards, but "communities" where you "friend" people and try to make connections and all that.

PLEASE STOP! NO MORE! These things are pointless, I end up wasting my time filling out a profile and then never going back to the site again. Also there was one that involved text-messaging and I had to pay my dad $3 for all the replies I sent!!! >_<

I am going to delete my "accounts" from: hi5, SMSac, and The Names Database, and any others I happen to think of. (I wouldn't mind the Names Database so much if you didn't have to pay, beacuse it's a really neat idea...needless to say I didn't actually join it that one in full.) I apologize for any invitations to join these that I might have sent you during the registration processes. I will leave my contact info on Ringo and that other thing that people use to keep up with birthdays, since that info is for your convenience anyway, but YOU will have to remind ME to change it if I ever move or anything.

Also, this has nothing to do with forwards. Just because I don't always send them along doesn't mean that I don't enjoy getting them. (Also if anyone's wondering why I haven't been sending quizzes along quite as often, it's because I've taken to putting them on my LJ, when I DO send them it's usually c/p'ed from LJ. But I think everyone who likes filling them out knows where to find my LJ.)

Oh, wait, one other thing. You know those forwards that say "Forward this and you'll get money from --insert a big comapny here--" or "Forward this and we'll donate five cents to --insert a worthy cause here--"? THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AN EMAIL TRACKER, THERE IS NO WAY OF KNOWING WHERE THE EMAIL GOES, SO THEREFORE THOSE EMAILS CANNOT POSSIBLY BE FOR REAL. Please don't bother sending me those, either.

So anyway. All other correspondence is welcome--quizzes/memes, invitations to MESSAGEBOARDS (where people actually accomplish CONVERSATION--though I likely won't join, because my board and the Plaza fanclubs take up an awful lot of my time as is), jokes, friendship poems (though I won't send them along to 15 people if I'm in a hurry, or if they're stupid), and even those REAL emails that you actually type yourself and, you know, TALK directly to ME. ^_-
