So I went to McDonald's on the way to work this morning, for breakfast. I think they knew it was me (which, considering that I have a pretty distinctive order and that I DO know two of the people working at that particular McD's, one of them being a manager, isn't entirely impossible). The bag had my name on it. XD

I thought it was pretty funny.

Last Saturday (don't you love how my anecdotes come to you totally out of order? XD) I got out of the Steak House way early, I had time to eat and still left by three. I didn't have to be at the Bell until five, so I (of course, what else is there to do in this town?) went to Wal*Mart. I had forgotten to put on mascara that morning, and I feel weird without it (not a tangible feeling, but the idea that everyone is looking at me like I don't care about my appearance), so I thought I'd get another one at Wal*Mart while I was there. I didn't see the point in having two black ones, though, so I said to myself: "Well, what other color would you ever use again? ...purple, of course!" XD Now, a while back, when I started wearing makeup, I was told that since I have blue eyes I should wear brown eye makeup to make them pop. I then reasoned to myself that since my eyes have a touch of green, I could wear purple, which is close to brown but isn't quite as skin-tone-y. (Don't ask me to explain that reasoning in any more detail. I can't articulate it.) Well, the only place I found a purple mascara was among these. Those compacts and such are designed to enhance your eye color--and the set for green eyes was purple. ^_^ So not only did I get a purple mascara, but I bought the more-dramatic set for green eyes (each color has an "enhance" and a "dramatically play up" set,), and when I wear it, my eyes look really really green. So yay. (Didn't bother with the eyeliner. Eyeliner, IMHO, looks like you're trying to outline your eyes like a cartoon character.) Am happy. And wondering what else I can pull off makeup-wise, with different outfits and such. This idea that more than one makeup look can flatter a person depending on what they want to play up is a new concept to me.

Not that anyone really wanted to know all that, lol. (But really. Any tips would be appreciated.)

ETA: While I'm thinking of it, here's some pics of Mountain Home that I took. This is the Walgreens parking lot. Notice how it's above street level. Yay for hills.

I checked out some of that make-up up here, and the stuff for blue eyes SUCKS on my eyes, but the ones for grey are really nice on me. I guess that shows what I have more of. O.o

I think the blue would look okay on me. But the green is all like, WOW. ^_^

I can't wait to get contacts so everyone ELSE can see!

LOL. I read what you wrote about the contacts being different these days- with the way my eyes are shaped, I had such a problem with the contacts before, that I just never bothered checking them out again.

If it weren't such a hassle for the damned things, I might consider using contacts again, but I've always looked better with glasses. Suits my personality more.

Besides, Justin thinks the glasses are 'sexy'. MEn are just too weird.

Hey, if it works for him, whatever. Clearly they do not work on me.

*shrugs* Just because men are stupid doesn't mean that the glasses don't work for you, it just means that men are simply stupid. *shrugs*

Hee. I still want contacts. There are other reasons--the whole fogging-in-cold-weather thing comes to mind.

*shrugs* I have a cleaner that prevents mine from fogging, but contacts are good for that too. LOL

Really?

Blonde moment of the week: I purchased a spray bottle of lens cleaner and a special lens cloth...five mintues before making my contacts appointment. XD

*coughs* I resent that remark, lol, any way. I like the cityscape pictures, keep with the whole B&W theme, it looks great. I can understand how purple being similar to brown, as purple is Red and Blue, whereas brown is Red and Green, which is blue and yellow, so not a big need to explain it (to me anyways), other than that I hate makeup, only think makeup would be useful if the person had like a hideous scar. There are natural ways to make your body "radiate" beauty, and most women, don't look as bad as they think they do without the makeup, some even look worse when the put makeup on. I'm glad I am a guy, so I don't have to wear makeup to look good.

Oh, I don't wear a lot of makeup, hon. Most days I roll out of bed and wear nothing but mascara (it draws attention to the eyes, and I have pretty eyes, IMHO) and eyebrow pencil (so that people don't know my hair color is fake! XD). But if I'm going out I like to wear it. (I had makeup on yesterady when I came to your concert, FYI. You probably didn't even notice, which is kind of the idea.)

Dude, I have the same set for green eyes! We're makeup TWINS! ZOMG!

I really think eyeliner can be natural looking and pretty if it's done right. I dislike the heavy black looks-like-I-tattooed-it-on-my-eyelids stuff, but if it's done in a way that makes your eyes look bigger... I like.

The trick is to choose a more natural color and work it into the lash line, so it's not a heavy streak across the top of the lid. It really makes eyes look bigger without eyeshadow. I use the plum eyeliner stick (I hate the gels) from that set every day with mascara, even if I don't use eyeshadow. It helps mascara along, lol.

One good tip is to only play up one feature at a time. Don't use dark lipstick and bright blue eyeshadow at the same time or you'll look like Tammy Fay. You know, the applied-with-spatula look? ^^

I have a thing for crazy eyeshadows. Bronze looks amazing on blue eyes, purple is fantastic on green. Rules of contrast. Pink is great with hazel or brown. I want to try really dramatic green, sliver... I die a little every time I go into a MAC store and look at all the pwetty cwolors. Don't get me started, I could paint pictures with those suckers, they rock!

Lady, you have awesome legs. I'm jealous. I have two tree stumps for legs. And my pant hems are always too long.
I'm short.

MAKEUP TWINS! ZOMG!

You know what? On second thought, I like eyeliner...on GUYS. XD But mmkay. I might go back and get the purple eyeliner in that case. ^_^

I really do want to go bolder as much as possible, especially after I get my contacts next week... I keep going more and more and then I go to Mom and ask if it's too much, always thinking she'll tell me I look slutty (except not with that word, lol), and she always tells me it looks fine. So I need to unlock my eyeshadow confidence, lol. ^_^

(I knew that about one feature at a time. When I do wear mucho eyeshadow I just put a shiny gloss on my lips, with little to no color. If I wanna wear dark lips to match my outfit I go with more understated eyes. And I never bother with foundation and blush; I have really good skin and don't need it, and blush would look fake on my uber-paleness.)

I used to hate my legs overall and I'm still not exactly thrilled with my thighs (but who is?), but I think you people are right. From the knees down I've got it going on! ^_^ (And I'm happy that I'm learning to accept my body even if it's only pieces at a time.)

Yay for self acceptance! ROXORS!

I wear a bit of powder over concealer, because I get zits and redness. Well, most of the time, sometimes I'm lucky.

Guyliner! Guyliner!

I always felt the same about eyeshadow, but I've decided I don't care.

GUYliner! XD

Mmm. I got lucky in the skin department. At puberty's worst I'd get maaaaybe one zit. And I SO do not take it for granted because I know it could be BAD.

Lucky. Well, I'm not too bad in that department. Just since I've been on the pill and got bangs I've been having some trouble on my forehead and chin. Bangs, when greasy, are not productive towards better looking skin. I need a headband to sleep in.

On the pill? Obviously not for the reason the pill was invented, lol?

Greasy bangs=ick. Indeedy. It's why I generally wear a hat after getting off work at Taco Bell. And greasy hair doesn't help skin, you're very right.

(I wonder if Snape had acne issues...? XD OMG. OotP looks SO good.)

Nah, bad cramps and irregularity. I think I told you before, lol.

Snape so had acne issues. Generally the angsty bad guy does!

(ZOMG, doesn't it?!?!?)
