I forgot that Turkey Trot was this weekend, but I found someone to cover for me at the Steak House and then I don't have to be at Taco Bell until four tomorrow, so I can go into town and watch the parade and still have plenty of time to change and be at work! Yay for local color and campiness! ^_^
Yesterday Nico and I both worked day shift, which is odd and rare (he almost always works nights, when he does work days it's usually Wednesday, my day off and all). Stage was having a one-day sale until 9, so after we got off I dragged him over there and made him shop with me. ^_^ I ended up buying two shirts and a pair of pants. The shirts are reversible (which is wacky because they have, like, a double set of buttons and everything!), so even though I spent a bit more than I normally would have, I'm consoling myself with the fact that I actually got four shirts and a pair of pants for that money. :p Nico found himself some hot jeans, but didn't have the cash, so I offered to buy them if he'd pay me back on payday (which I keep thinking is Monday, because mine is, but he has direct deposit so it's actually today for him!). (And trust me, if you saw him in these jeans you would know why he absolutely needed to own them. Really.) Anyway, the point I'm getting to is that with his jeans thrown on there with my stuff, the total came to $102. I've never in my life spent that much money at once, except on necessary stuff like, you know...insurance! And car repairs! OMG. I think I looked at the register with wide-eyed horror. Nico laughed at me, anyway. But I didn't really spend it, because he's paying me back tonight after work. ^_^ It was just a weird experience to look up and see a three-digit total, lol.
He and a bunch of people from work (myself not included, unfortunately!) are going clubbing in West Plains tomorrow night. (Hence the need for those jeans, lol.) I actually loaned him one of my new shirts for it, too, lol--and yet again he looks better in it than I do. *rolls eyes*
I got out of the Steak House about ten minutes early today (go me for getting crap done!) and then went and picked Nico up, because his car's on the blink at the moment. Dropped him off and then came here to the library to change and pop online, since I'm scheduled an hour later than him. Whee. So we're going to have Hardee's after work, his treat. ^_^ (And yet my mother seems to think that he takes advantage of me. Lol. SO not teh case.)
Ahhh...I need to go, he said he'd kill me if I was late--and he's in charge tonight, so he might just have the authority to do it. Ah, well, it'll be fun with him in charge--plus he said he'd do his darndest to keep from putting me on headset! YAY!
