According to the kid's educational page (World of Wonder) in our paper, Freya, the Norweigan goddess of fertility and war, "always wore a magical necklace that made her more beautiful than words can describe. According to legend it was forged by dwarfs." AH-HA, Professor Tolkien! We have FOUND your Norweigan inspiration! Lol.

While I'm at it, read this fic. It's Gimli/Legolas, but it's NOT slash, and...huh. I don't know if I found it interesteing or funny or what, but somehow I liked it and the idea is interesting. (And not the first time I've heard someone suggest that Gimli may be...well, read the fic.)
