1. Are you related to anyone famous or do you have any famous friends? If so, who?
People keep thinking that we're related to author Lee Strobel, but we're not. I can't think of anyone that we know.
2. Do you have any autographs or memorabilia?
I have autographs from Steve Green and Lauren Talley (Christian singers who've had concerts in Mtn. Home).
3. If you could meet any 3 celebrities who would they be?
Elijah Wood. Dominic Monaghan. Orlando Bloom. (Hey, we said celebrities, not authors!)
4. What would you want to be famous for doing?
Writing a bestselling novel.
5. Who's the most annoying celebrity?
...All the women that have kissed Elijah. Which, IIRC, would include Lindsay Lohan, Mandy Moore, Franka Potente--who he dated IRL for a while--Leelee Sobieski, Rachael Leigh Cook, Bijou Philips (I think) and that girl from the Faculty whose name I can't remember. And his current girlfriend, Pam Racine, who no one's heard of. (I'm kidding. Sort of. I actually like Rachael Leigh Cook. But Lindsay Lohan is annoying because she didn't leave her hair her natural color.)

1. Do you have any pets? If so, how many, and what are their names? Not currently.
2. What was your very first pet? Do you remember its name? A dog, frighteningly enough. A golden retriever that my dad named Shadow.
3. Is there an animal you would never have as a pet? Mmm...I wouldn't like a buggy sort of pet, like a spider or scorpion.
4. What common pet have you always wanted but never had? Why not? I wanted a talking bird, but they're wicked expensive.
5. What wild animal (extinct or not) would you own if you didn't have to worry about its adjustment or the cost of captivity? ...

APARTMENT!

ZOMG.

So yesterday I got a call from my landlady and she (basically) informed me that since the apartments offered rental assistance, there was also an income cap, and she hadn't realized that I made too much to move in there.

To make a long story short, I decided to quit the Steak House in order to get into the apartment.

And I know that sounds insane, but really--it's 12 hours a week that bring only just about $60 a month, before tips. It's spending money. And I would like to sleep in on Saturdays again. I'd like to close and then not have to be up in less than eight hours.

And really...if you'd lived with my parents as long as you have, and then knew you were going to be away from them in less than a week, and then came really close to having that opportunity snatched away from you...I think you'd all do what I did. I could have found another apartment, true enough, but it would have taken another few weeks, weeks I am not willing to wait.

And--between you guys, me, and the fencepost--I told Brian (the Steak House manager) what was going on, and he said (more or less) that if money got tight for me, to just call in and I could still pick up a shift here and there, off the record. ^_^ So I've quit on paper, but really I still have a job if I need it. (And I won't say that I won't. I might.)

So now things are all in line--I get to pick up my keys and sign the lease and everything TOMORROW, as soon as I get off work!!! *nances* I had to go do more paperwork tonight, and got to actually SEE the place for the first time tonight.

I love it. It's all white and boring, and it turns out I can't paint after all, but I WILL be hanging pictures everywhere. I've picked my bedroom (the front one, which is actually a titch smaller and supposedly noisier because it's the one that faces the parking lot, but I like the shape of it and all). It's small, but bigger than it looks from outside, I think. And more closet space than I thought.

So it's all good, except for the fact that I can't paint. I can, however, put as many nailholes in the walls as I darn well want, and plan to use that fact to my advantage.

Gah. I gotta get going, the library's closing. And I don't know when I'll be online next--I'll likely be busy moving all this weekend. I plan to do the bulk of it on Sunday, if it doesn't SNOW!!
