1. As much as I love computers/internet/email, it's actually a really bad way to get time-sensitive information to me, especially over the weekend.
2. I have a phobia of catching my hair on fire.
3. I actually like boy- and girl-group music more than I let on. (Like this morning, I was playing B*Witched...)
4. My first celebrity crush, which I no longer have, was on a guy who died when I was three.
5. Shoe-shopping with my mother was so traumatic for me, I can actually think of several instances where I broke down crying in the shoe store. (The last time I was 14!) (This would explain why I currently own four completely utilitarian pairs of shoes and why I wear them until they fall apart on me.)
6. I was once the sole judge of a private, two-man "who has the hardest pecs" contest. Did not complain. XD
7. Before seeing Lord of the Rings, the only actor in it that I'd even HEARD of was Cate Blanchett, and that was only a name to me.
8. As much as I love books, I read very few authors that make the New York Times Bestseller List. (Mary Higgins Clark and Nicholas Sparks are the only two I've gotten to.)
9. I love pickled okra, but I refuse to eat it any other way.
10. I claim that I hate swimming, but really, I just don't like it enough for it to be worth the effort involved (ie, fussing with wet clothes and hair, showering if it's non-pool-water...)
11. When I was really little (okay, okay, I was nine! I admit it!), they advertised that "The Hobbit" cartoon was going to be on TV and the ad scared me. (Even if it hadn't, my mother would have refused to let me watch it anyway.)
12. When I was a kid my favorite color was *shudder* pink. My room was pink-themed (as much as was possible, anyway, I spent a few years living in a room that was not mine) up until I was 13 or so, though I hated it near the end.
13. Hey! Re: that last one, I spent the years of 8-12 living in my dad's study as he finished building the upstairs part of our house. All one wall was shelves with all his books and I had my bed crammed up against it. (Shell, I think I had about the same amount of floorspace as you did the second time I visited.)
14. I still read a comic book. (Sonic the Hedgehog.)
15. I got read bedtime stories until I was, like, ten.
16. I love Hello Kitty, and actually didn't have a clue what that was until I was 15.
17. I have never seen "Gone With the Wind" all the way through.
18. I may be the last person on planet Earth, save my parents, who has never seen "Titanic." (Whether or not I've missed much is a hot topic of debate every time I mention this.)
19. When I KNOW what I'm doing, math doesn't bother me--it's just learning NEW concepts that frustrates me.
20. I envy all decent poets.
